What is this? A fridge!

If you have a micro-kitchen... and you cannot live without the dishwasher...
something else must be sacrified!
So I had to put the fridge in the livingroom... it was not exactly a pretty sight, entirely white, cold inside and outside...
And unfortunately I could not afford the Smeg dream...

SMEG...
andava bene anche rosa! / I love also the pink version!

L'ho mimetizzato!!

I have camouflaged it!

Here is the result of mixing... fantasy, different coloured velvet adhesive paper, attention to details and calm...
It hasn't been easy to attach the stripes straight and without bubbles, but the result is amazing!
It doesn't seem to be a fridge now... perfectly according to the colours of the room.

Detail

I am really proud of this fridge: it has been one of the first work I lovely made for my little home!
Just as an aperitif of my first home before the restyling... this was the fridge before:

Before

Then in a bit it became the favourite place for magnets and memories, as any self respecting fridge!

Facile facile...

There is an object I've always liked... the cakestand.
Now in London I find a lot of them around, but they are always already seen, no one is particularly original.

So I said... why do not make one by myself as I like?
Easy peasy...

Ho alternato ceramica bianca e vetro, effetto bicolore.

I simply recovered some loose items... cups, plates and bowls ... and I have pasted them together!
I used white ceramic and glass, two-tone effect.

Ecco il risultato:
Here's the result:

Have a good day!

PS: I muffin sono con l'uvetta! / Enjoy the raisin muffins!

On the beach [part 2]

The Atelier Buffo is on holiday... and this is the reason why the posts are a little less frequent in the last few days! Sorry...
In the meantime... something else related to the sea:

Bag for the beach: made by Titti

A straw bag covered externally by bands of different color of lace, and inside by colored cloth (striped cotton): the interior is reversible to be cleaned!
The handles are strips of leather sewn between the meshes of the straw.

In the background: a bag from Morocco

And at the end... another sea towel, matched with the bag

Keep calm and EAT a cupcake

Sapete l'origine di "KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON"?

Do you know the origin of "KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON"?
It is a poster produced by the British Goverment at the beginning of the World War Second...

Now there are a lot of new versions of the original slogan... this one is fine for the kitchen!

And why do not make it more original with a great frame, of course a recovered one, and with an important passepartout?

The frame comes from an antiques market, and the cotton paper from Paperchase.
