Spring mood

Basta guardare le vetrine, o qualsiasi blog di moda... i colori pastello e il pizzo sono ovunque!
A me piacciono da sempre, quindi non farò una grande fatica ad adeguare il mio look ai dettami delle tendenze...

Le mie amiche mi prendono spesso in giro perché il mio guardaroba pullula di colore e fantasie floreali... d'estate o d'inverno sono spesso decisamente poco sobria...
Sono piuttosto malata di shopping, anche se Londra mi sta "mitigando"... c'è davvero di tutto, ma il bello è che con il via libera agli accostamenti più impensabili le combinazioni si moltiplicano! Ovviamente non ci ho messo molto ad adattarmi, tanto qui a chi importa? Per quanto dia libero sfogo alla mia fantasia rimango la più normale sul vagone della metro!
La cosa positiva è che anche pezzi che giacevano addormentati nell'armadio (non butto mai nulla!) sono stati rispolverati... con grande gioia delle mie finanze...

A quick look at the windows or at any fashion blog is enough... pastel colours and lace are everywhere.

I've always loved this style, so it isn't a big effort for me to adapt my look to these trends dictates...

My friends often pokes fun on me because my wardrobe is full of colours and floral patterns... both in summer and in winter I'm not properly serious...

I'm pretty addicted to shopping, but London is calming me... there's really whatever you want, but with the green light to the most unexpected combinations the possibilities multiply. Obviously it doesn't take me long to adapt, who cares? As far as I leave my imagination free I remain the most normal in a tube coach! The positive thing is that pieces that lay asleep in my closet (never throw anything!) have been dusted off... with great pleasure of my balance...

Shabby frame

Vi ricordate la cornice acquistata qualche tempo fa?
Bene, la stampa è volata immediatamente nella carta (riciclo) mentre la cornice è rimasta qualche tempo in un angolo...

Poi mi sono decisa a sistemarla...

La mia scelta è caduta sullo shabby... che non è una cosa molto innovativa in generale, ma lo è per me. Finora questo stile mi è sempre piaciuto, ma nelle case degli altri. Sono sempre stata molto più per il colore e le tinte calde, anche accese.

Ma ora, credo complice il total white di molte case che vedo e di quella in cui abito, mi sto ricredendo... Lo stile inglese è decisamente più sobrio di me, e forse sta mitigando alcuni lati del mio gusto.

Do you remember the frame I bought some time ago? 

Well, the picture flew immediately in the bin (recycle paper) but the frame has been left in a corner for a while...

Then I've decided to restore it...

I 've chosen the shabby style... that so far isn't a very innovative idea, but it is for me.

So far I've liked this style, but generally in others' houses. I like more the warm and bright colours.

Actually now I'm changing my mind... probably due to the total white style all around me... The English style is definetly stricter than mine, and it's probably calming down mine.

Anche la più candida delle cornici acquista personalità con quello che contiene... ho scelto, per ora, una semplice fantasia a piccoli fiori ovviamente rossi (il rosso è il mio colore preferito). E' un semplice foglio di carta-tessuto, una fantasia gentile ma con un tocco di colore (l'ho acquistato da Paperchase).

Even the most pale frame gains personality with its content... I've chosen, for the moment, just a small floral pattern, of course red that is my favorite color. It's a simple tissue paper, a gentle fancy that gives a touch of colour (I bought it at Paperchase).

very near to Westfield, the biggest londoner shopping centre, but ages far from it

anche se la giornata non è delle migliori (e quando ho scattato queste foto il cielo era parecchio grigio) è un tripudio di colori

even if the daylight is not the best (and for example when I took those pictures the sky was dull) it is colorful

e alimentari... ma se ti limiti a frutta e verdura note non porti a casa quasi nulla

Insomma, un luogo con un suo carattere particolare, frequentato da chi vive nei paraggi, uno spaccato reale di un'incredibile mescolanza di culture.

Pasquetta Buffa

Dopo 4 mesi sono tornata a casa...

Dopo parecchio tempo su e giu' sentendomi in prestito ovunque, ammetto che sono stufissima di aerei, quindi se posso evito.

Pero' sono fortunata, mi sento a casa in due paesi diversi, tra le mura della casina qui come di quella in Italia.

I giorni sono volati, come al solito, e sono ripartita con la nota sensazione di aver trascurato qualcuno, di aver dedicato troppo poco tempo alle persone care.

After 4 months I came back home... 
After a long time up and down feeling on loan anywhere, I admit that I'm fed up with flying, so if I can I avoid it. 
But I'm lucky, I feel at home in two different countries, within the walls of my home here as the ones in Italy. 
The days flew past as usual, and I came back here feeling that I have neglect someone and that I have devoted too little time with loved ones.

Pasqua e compleanno sono stati bellissimi, in famiglia e con gli amici...

Vi racconto cosa mi ha ricordato questa vacanzina in patria...  tutte note positive e forse futili riguardo un paese che mi fa sempre piu' spesso arrabbiare, ma che e' pur sempre il paese dove vorrei vivere (va beh, magari non adesso, ma chissa' in futuro...)

Posso ancora permettermi un pacchetto di sigarette

Anche il supermercato piu' piccolo fa invidia all' Harrods Food Hall e al Whole Food Market

La "pizza piu' buona del mondo" e il gelato mi mancheranno sempre

Mele e pomodori non hanno lo stesso sapore

Battute e silenzi in inglese non hanno lo stesso effetto ne' significato

Diventiamo piu' "grandi" (eufemismo) e tante cose stanno cambiando (!) ma siamo sempre scemi allo stesso modo... anzi, peggio!

Non importa se siamo sparsi un po' dappertutto... ci sono rapporti per cui la distanza, di tempo e di spazio, non esiste. Il tempo e' sempre poco ma ogni volta si sta insieme, si ride e si parla come la volta precedente... GRAZIE AMICICI!!!

I'll tell you what this little holiday reminded me... it's just a positive and perhaps frivolous list about a country that makes me more and more often angry, but that it's still the country where I want to live (okay, maybe not now, but who knows in the future...)

I can even afford cigarettes
Even the smallest supermarket is the envy of the Harrods Food Hall and the Whole Foods Market
I always miss the "most delicious pizza in the world" and the ice cream

Apples and tomatoes do not taste the same
Jokes and silences in English does not have the same effect and meaning
We become older (euphemism) and many things are changing (!) but we are always silly and funny in the same way... indeed, worse!
It doesn't matter if we are scattered everywhere... there are relationship which are not affected by the distance, time and space. The time is always too short but every time we are together we laugh and talk as the previous time... THANKS MY FRIENDS!

Oggi ultimo post prima di una piccola pausa... una vacanzina, o per meglio dire, un rientro a casa!
"Natale con i tuoi e Pasqua con chi vuoi"... cosa che nel mio caso coincide abbastanza viste le circostanze!
E siccome non c'è solo Pasqua ma anche il mio compleanno, prolungherò il mio soggiorno in patria di qualche giorno... quindi blog chiuso per ferie per qualche tempo!
Auguro a tutti un periodo piacevolissimo, complice la primavera e qualche giorno di vacanza!

Today last post before a short break... a little holiday, or rather, a return to home!
" Christmas with your family and Easter with whomever you want"... that in my case is the same due to the circumstances.

And since there's not only Easter but also my birthday, I'll lengthen my vacation of a few days... so the blog is also closed for holiday!
I wish you all a very pleasant time, thanks to the spring and a few days off!

Purtroppo (o per fortuna) non sono riuscita a preparare niente per questa ricorrenza... ma ho pensato di lasciarvi lo stesso qualcosa di pasquale...

Cosa c'è di più classico delle uova??

Se poi sono meravigliose, create da artisti e sparse per tutto il centro di Londra ancora meglio!
Fabergé da un paio di mesi ha invaso la città  con più di 200 uova decorate, creando così oltre ad un' esibizione free and open air anche la più grande caccia alle uova mai organizzata (THE FABERGE' BIG EGG HUNT).
 L' evento di beneficenza correlato alle varie iniziative per il Giubileo di Diamante della Regina è giunto ormai al termine, e tra pochissimo queste sculture saranno assegnate ai compratori con un'asta di Sotheby.
E' stato divertente scoprire dove fossero in questi mesi... dai posti più classici a quelli più stravaganti...

Unfortunately (or fortunately) I haven't done anything for this event... but anyway I want to leave you something paschal...
What's more classic than the eggs?
If they are gorgeous, created by artists and scattered throughout the center of London it's even better!
Since February Fabergé has placed more than 200 decorated eggs all over the centre of the city, creating as well a free and open-air exhibition and also the largest egg hunt ever organized (THE FABERGE' BIG EGG HUNT).  

This is a charity event related to the Diamond Jubilee and it is coming to its end. The sculptures will be soon given to buyers with an auction at Sotheby.
It's been funny to discover where all the eggs were hidden... from the most classic to the most unconventional place...
