Be my Valentine... at breakfast

Da giorni nei blog che seguo e in Pinterest vedo immagini di colazioni e altri piatti favolosi a tema San Valentino.
Sono fotografie splendide di piatti semplici ma ben fatti, curati nei dettagli.
Io non sono una grande esperta di cucina, ma ho voluto testare alcune delle idee che avevo raccolto in rete... per vedere se queste cose, fatte poi dai comuni mortali, sono carine lo stesso.

I've been looking at amazing breakfast and other gorgeous Valentine's recipes in the blogs I follow and in Pinterest too. 

There are beautiful pics of easy recipes, really well done with attention to details.

I'm not a great expert in the kitchen, but I wanted to test some bright ideas I had gathered in the web... just to verify if these things, made by a common person, look as pretty as the samples.

Ok, sono in anticipo... ma San Valentino è martedi' e non posso certo svegliarmi di notte per preparare queste cosine!
La nostra Valentine's breakfast l'abbiamo fatta ieri, con calma... ecco a voi la mia interpretazione!

So we had our Valentine's breakfast yesterday... here it is:

Valentine's hearts

Come tutte le feste commerciali, anche San Valentino e' anticipato da gadget di ogni tipo!

Ormai i "vecchi" baci Perugina fanno vintage...

Personalmente non sento la particolare esigenza di festeggiare questa ricorrenza, anche se certo non me la prendo se ricevo un pensiero! Cmq preferisco una sorpresa in un giorno qualsiasi...

Potete solo immaginare la quantita' di gadget a tema che si sono in giro qui... Difficilissimo resistere! Soprattutto se, San Valentino a parte, love patterns, cuori, glitter, rosa e rosso (...) hanno un effetto calamita su di te!

As any commercial celebration, also Valentine's day is introduced by any kind of gadgets!

Nowadays the classic chocolate is vintage...

I personally do not care about this anniversary, although I certainly don't get angry if I receive a gift! Actually, I prefer a surprise on any other day...

You can only imagine how many gadgets there are everywhere around me... And how it is hard to resist! 

Especially if, regardless of Valentine's day, love patterns, hearts, glitters, pink and red (...) are magnet on you.

Oggi ho deciso di mostrarvi qualcosa di semplice che puo' essere realizzato in casa facilmente.

Today I want to show something simple that you can DIY at home.

Vi occorrono / You need

- cuoricini di polistirolo / polystyrene hearts -

- colla / glue -

- glitter -

Ecco dove conservo i miei glitter / My way of keep glitter

Ora dovete semplicemente ricoprire di colla i cuoricini, e spruzzare sopra una gran quantita' di glitter (armatevi di pazienza, vanno ovunque!)

Now you simply have to glue the hearts and then cover them by glitters (use your patience, the glitters tend to go all over)

Consiglio: colorate prima la base, sarà più facile coprire il polistirolo

Tip: It's easier to cover if you paint the heart before glue

Fatti... / Done...

ora basta infilarli su un bastoncino, e decorare una torta... 

now just put them on a stick, and decorate your cake...

I don't like chocolate!

o infilarli a collana con fil di ferro e fare una ghirlanda...

or thread them on a wire and make a garland...

oppure... vedete voi, sta alla vostra interpretazione!

or... up to you, what your imagination suggests!
